Sloan

We meet up with Carol this afternoon to see Sloan. It was part of the Grey Cup festival. Sloan is the fisrt Canadian band I really liked. I've known Carol since I became their fan... so over 10 years. We've been going to see them play whenever I was in city. Now we can go pretty much every time together.

I knew what the Grey Cup is, but didn't know it's a big deal like this. As I write this, Kevin is at the Rogers center watching the game. Well, not because he's the fan. It's work.
Lenny Kravitz will be playing at the half time show.


Last night, Kevin and I went to see Cavalcade of Lights at the city hall. Even it's cold outside, there's always something to see/do.

Snow

This Thursday we had some snow first time this winter. Not too much, enough to enjoy the view. (people who drove that day wasn't enjoying though)
We enjoyed cold day out. Okay, I enjoyed cold day out. I even wore my rubber boots first time.

We've done lots last couple of days. Last night, we went to see a movie Beowulf at IMAX. That was my first time at IMAX theater. It was great. I loved watching it 3D with great sound. The movie was pretty good too.
Then today, our friend C gave us tickets to go to see Little Shop Of Horrors. I had so much fun. The same friend gave us tickets earlier this year to see Rockey Horror Show as well. I loved both shows very much.
Oh before we went to see that show, K made me/us a cheese cake. Chocolate cheese cake. Now I'm patiently waiting for K to come home. (there's a strict direction that I can not touch the cake till he comes home from work.) Oh, yeah he went to work after the show. Poor thing. (I am lucky to have a hubby who works so hard and late for us) On the other hand C and his girl J drove me home. They are sooooo nice. And yes, I know. We are very lucky. To have people like them around.

Long Walk

My husband and I walk to everywhere. Last weekend we decided to go for a shopping.
That's how far we went. (we did walk both ways) Website says the showing route is 5.3 km one way. That wasn't the one we took, we walked on mostly side street. Looking at different houses/streets. We went to small mall on Dufferin and Dupon first and after that went to Dufferin Mall. It sure was a long walk. We slept very well that night.
I have lots of shoes considering I just moved here. But I wear comfortable running shoes or short boots most of the time. I only wear nice shoes when I'm sure I use subway/street car.
I think, I don't need to join the gym.

Thanksgiving - Halloween - Christmas

Those 3 seem very continuous. Thanksgiving in early October, Halloween in end of October and now everything is Christmasy. My husband has been asking me "what do you want for Christmas?" once in few days. I've been in Canada during this time of the year once before, but back then I didn't have a family here. Now I have a husband, father in law, sisters in law, nephews, niece, family frineds etc... I don't know what I would be doing for Christmas. We haven't discussed it yet. K might be working. Though I should start thinking what to get for those people. I see "now is the great time to start Christmas shopping!" on the news almost every single day. One thing I don't want to do is last minutes Christmas shopping which I suspect K has been doing all those years. But also he's always very busy in Dec. Anways I kinda know what I want for Christmas. I wonder what K wants for Christmas... (I can think of million things which he needs...)

It's kinda small for me. I should use different yarn and hook.
Also I need to find a ribbon to put above the single crochet.

*prepare to be bored*
Well, my normal day starts with getting up about 30 mins before my husband leaves for work. Make coffee. Maybe watch news on tv. (if his leaving time is earlier than 5:30am, sometime I can't make it. I still lie down on my bed and trying to talk to him.) After he leaves, I wash dishes. Make tea or something. Watch tv while surfing net. Then wow it's noon! Or more likely 2 or 3pm... at this point usually I haven't eaten anthing yet. Do dishes. (if there's any) Make something. (tenshinhan... mmmmm) Do dishes. If K has split schedule he would be home by then. If he works straight till evening, then I would read, think about what to make dinner. Knit maybe. Do dishes again. Yes, I know. I do dishes often. even only 1 spoon or 1 bowl in the sink, I do wash. I hate to keep something in the sink. Or...



I bake. I like my short bread like plain cookies, but people likes my peanut butter cookies. So I bake more of thoes.





Sounds boring?
Well, this is what I like. I can go out and see friends, do lunch or go window shopping. It's fun once in a while. Usually once a week I go to see my friends. Oh I guess that's the only time I speak Japanese. I'm ok with it. I mean not speaking Japanese.
Anyways, I like staying home. And I am happy.

The Box Arrived

My mom sent me a box. It took about 2 months to get here.
Now I have enough winter clothes. (ok, more than enough) Just in time for the sleet.











I've been staying in a lot. Since last night, doing this.

November

It's Novermber... I should start to blog again.
Today, we went to MEC's gear swap. We got there about 10am and it was already a long line up. (it was between 11am to 1pm) Some good deals. I was looking for a pair of shoes for winter. I found two pairs, one is very good deal winter boots, but still bit expensive and I wasn't sure I like them or not. The other pair I liked but they only have size 8, bit too big. I bought a second hand hoodies for $5. Hubby got some climbing gear. I was in a "I wanna buy shoes" mood, so we went to Winners on Front st. I guess we like Winners. Well, at least I love Winners.

I bought a pair of rubber boots. While I was in the store carrying them. I got "they are so cute!" twice.

My mom sent me a box which is full of my winter clothes. It hasn't arrived here yet. So I don't really have winter clothes. Till I get the box, layering clothes...
