Our Baby Is...
So we don't know the baby's gender... which is too bad though now I don't really mind finding out the day he/she comes out.
My belly button is not coming out yet, it's my skirt's button.
The weather has been finally warm. More like it's hot. (bit too hot for me...) I'm enjoying walking outside so that's good. I do go for a walk for few hours almost every single day, but still not very big appetite. Hope I gain some weight before next Wednesday. Check ups at midwife that day.
Also next week, I should start making to do list/shopping list. I want to finish packing before I get too big.

Yesterday was our Japanese wedding anniversary. We didn't do anything special though we enjoyed the nice weather together.
1 year passed very fast.
2 weddings, 2 big moves. And 1 pregnancy!
I guess lots of things happened...

I don't think there's much difference between this picture and the last one I posted. Still I haven't gained any weight since January. Though our baby is growing fine. I can't wait to feel him/her.

18th week
I still don't know how to count weeks. Right now I'm 17 weeks and 1 day. I guess.Things are going fine. That's why I don't write here as much as I should. Nothing much to tell.
Oh I started to show a bit last few weeks. But I don't think I gained any weight. Maybe that's a good sign if I'm in Japan. (I heard their weight watch is very strict) Last time I saw my midwife, she suggested to eat 5 times a day. 3 meals and 2 snacks. I haven't been able to do that yet. I do eat healthy though.
The picture is me 16th week. I don't think there's much difference yet now.
The weather here is bad. It's still freezing cold. We're still gonna have more than 10cm of snow in this month. I don't really mind snow (as long as I don't need to do shaveling) what I don't like is frozen sidewalks.

What I like and dislike (food)
Since I got pregnant I think my taste buds changed.
First change I noticed was coffee. I used to drink at least two cups of coffee a day. We bought decaf coffee right after we found out I'm pregnant though now I drink it once a week or less. Not because the decaf don't taste good. I just don't want to drink it anymore. I drink decaf tea more often.
Then I became LOVING fruits. Almost any kinds. I do eat two or three kinds of fruits a day. Today I already had an apple and I am having a pear as I write this.
I still like/love Japanese food except those snack rice crackers. Some people probably know that I used to LOVE rice crackers. I don't love them anymore. One package of rice crackers, it's sitting on our table for a while.
Oh now I don't wanna eat anything with herbs. Especially rosemary.
I don't like peas as much as before.
I didn't have morning sickness at all. So I'm lucky I guess. I got really tired and my different taste buds, they are pretty much the only things I felt in my first trimester. Oh and heartburns.
Couple friends of mine in Japan are also pregnant. And good friend of mine here has a 2 years old boy. So I can talk about my pregnancy with them.
We still don't know much about pregnancy. Still long way to meet the new member of our family face to face.

February
Oh speaking of shoveling, someone stole our metal shovel. Okay not our shovel. It's our landlord's. But we are the ones who do shoveling. Now we (er, mostly Kevin) use plastic one which is about to break in two picese.
Nothing much to say here. I've been staying in a lot. (I kinda had to, because of the weather) Yesterday we went for a walk at night and looked around apartments in the neighbourhood. We just can't wait to move in June. We have no idea where though hopefully we can stay in the neighbourhood. We should be fine anywhere near the subway station though, personally I don't want to move to East side of the city.
